Marko Velić
Marko Velić was born in Zagreb and graduated from the Faculty of Organization and Informatics in Varaždin, where he also enrolled in the post-graduate doctoral study in Information Science.

From 2007 to 2013, he ran a company for the development of information technologies and launched a dozen commercial projects, some of which included proprietary machine learning algorithms. In 2013, moved to the University Computing Center – SRCE, University of Zagreb, where he stayed at the position of the Head of the data analysis department. Since the beginning of 2015, he has been leading the Data Science department in the Styria group.
Currently he is a Director of Engineering/Team Leader for Artificial Intelligence Development at Photomath. He is a lecturer at the University of Algebra, the author of a dozen scientific papers, two patent applications and the winner of many recognitions and awards for professional work and innovation. As an independent consultant in the field of machine learning, he works for some of the world’s largest corporations.
Marko has strong academic background and technical expertise combined with entrepreneurship experience and business skills.
